Former Van Halen lead singer David Lee Roth shared his new mysterious artwork with his fans on his official Twitter account. The painting is named ‘The Hurricane Formally Known As Prince’ and probably carries some messages about the late legendary musician Prince.
As you probably know, David Lee Roth has not only led a successful music career but is also an accomplished painter. Roth’s paintings and comic book series named ‘Soggy Bottom’ have received very positive reviews from his fans. As a visual artist, Roth highlights ongoing social and political problems in combination with his personal experiences and ideas.
In his previous paintings, which he shared on social media, Roth drew attention to climate change, fast food chains, the matter of online privacy, and life under the shadow of a global pandemic. One of the recent artworks, which depicts a boy holding his middle finger up, was a message to Gene Simmons after he claimed that he isn’t Diamond Dave anymore.
Roth’s new painting entitled ‘The Hurricane Formally Known As Prince’ includes Ouroboros, a serpent eating its own tail. The artwork can be interpreted as Prince destroying his life like a hurricane, as he passed away from an overdose. The fans admired the painting, and many of them wanted to buy it. ‘The Hurricane Known As Prince’ will remain another mysterious painting by Roth until he reveals his message.
Here’s what Roth wrote in his painting:
“The Hurricane Formally Known As Prince.”
