Yesterday, Eddie Van Halen’s son and bass guitarist, Wolfgang Van Halen, announced the devastating death of his father by sharing a new post on his official Twitter account.

After winning the battle against tongue cancer, Eddie Van Halen started to fight against throat cancer for over five years, according to the reports of TMZ. This time, he couldn’t win this fight against the ruthless disease and passed away at the age of 65.

Following his death, Eddie’s bandmates Sammy Hagar, Michael Anthony, and David Lee Roth took their social media account to mourn the death of the legendary guitar player.

Sammy and Michael both stated that they have no words to say about this sad news and showed how saddened they are. Also, they shared their condolences to the Van Halen family while mourning Eddie’s death.

On the other hand, David Lee mentioned the achievements they have done together and stated that it was a long and great trip together with Eddie. In this way, he showed his respect for the iconic guitarist.
