Van Halen frontman David Lee Roth has shared a new song called ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow Bar And Grill…’ on his official Youtube channel. He also shared a photo that shows us the hand-written lyrics of the song.

According to a statement on Van Halen News Desk, Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 played guitars, but there’s no clear information about the other instruments of the track. On the other hand, if you look at the song’s title and lyrics, you will find out that this is an absolute tribute to Eddie Van Halen, who passed away due to complications of throat cancer three weeks ago.

In a way that supports what we say, Diamond Dave left a message over the handmade cover art of the song and paid respect to his old bandmate, legendary Eddie Van Halen. Here’s what he wrote:

“Hey Ed

I’m gonna miss ya.’

See you on the other side…”

Recently, former Van Halen members Sammy Hagar and Michael Anthony paid their tribute to Eddie by performing a live show in honor. Since Eddie’s tragic death, David Lee Roth has been quiet and shared just a Twitter post to tribute him. But seemingly, the truth is he was working on a new song for Eddie, and we can say that Roth satisfied the expectation of Van Halen fans with this emotional and touching song.
