Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider posted a couple of tweets to share his thoughts about women’s rights to abortion with his fans on his official Twitter account.

After Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill to ban most abortions after fifteen weeks, the society split into pro-life vs. pro-choice. People who support pro-life stated that women are killing babies with abortion; pro-choicers thought no one could take this right from women who cannot afford to take care of a baby regardless of having support.

As a very active social media user and a person who wanted to raise awareness against fundamental problems in his country and worldwide, Snider wished to draw attention to freedom and the importance of choices. Some of his fans disagreed with him, saying that those babies also have the right to live and abortion is murder.

Snider emphasized that it’s not about abortion, it’s the freedom to live how they want, and the authorities are taking this away from women. He said manipulating and self-righteous people shouldn’t be allowed to do that. Also, some followers supported him by talking about what women went through and men who wanted to control women in every part of life.

Snider’s tweet read:

“What’s going on with abortion rights is not pro-life vs. pro-choice. This is the bullying right minority deciding what is right for you. This battle is pro-choice vs. no-choice. Don’t let these manipulating, self-righteous a**holes get away with it. We’ve got the right to choose.”

A fan responded:

“Abortion is a planned procedure with the direct intent to stop a human heartbeat. How is this not first-degree murder?

Snider replied:

“Well, I’m a firm believer the soul leaves the body at the last breath – it doesn’t wait around for the body to break down to its last particle before it leaves. With that in mind, I believe the soul enters at 1st breath – it doesn’t enter with the sperm and wait for completion.”

Following this discussion, another fan asked who would stand up for an unborn baby if the mother didn’t. Since many people look at this matter from that point, Snider asked who will protect that child once born if their parents decide not to raise them. When a person stated that abortions aren’t birth control, the musician again said it was never claimed to be since it’s a hard decision to make for every woman.

Snider shared his ideas, saying:

“So, when you freedom fighters supersede the mother’s choice & force her to have that baby she doesn’t want, in good conscience, would you let that godless woman raise that child? Of course not! We must protect that child at all costs! So who is going to take care of it, you?”

A follower added:

“Also. Most abortions aren’t ‘birth control.’

Snider’s tweet read as follows:

“Never were. The girls and women I’ve known who have had to make that choice have been tortured by their decision.”

Eventually, a fan shared a tweet saying abortion can be questionable morally since it includes ending a life, according to many. Regardless of personal opinions on the procedure, men who think they are in charge of every other women’s body cannot be the people to decide on this situation. After this statement, Snider summed up by saying that it’s about the right to choose.

Here’s what a fan wrote:

“The battle for women’s reproductive rights is on. Again. My Republican, Catholic Mom (RIP) fought for those rights way back then because, in her words, ‘morally I don’t agree on w/abortion, but ethically no man, no government, should tell a woman what she can do with her own body.'”

Snider added:

“This isn’t about abortion; it’s about the right to choose.
