Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recently replied to his followers’ questions from his official Twitter account, and after stating that he loves Iron Maiden, Snider revealed that his favorite Maiden song is ‘Flight of Icarus.’
Dee Snider is best known as the lead singer and songwriter of Twisted Sister. Although the band broke up in 1988, they occasionally reunited but didn’t attract the same attention as their popular times. The band played their final show a year after their drummer A.J Pero’s passing, on November 12, 2016, in Monterrey. However, Dee Snider was always under the spotlight as he kept playing with different bands, embarking on solo projects, collaborating with other musicians, and even starting a career in cinema as a writer and co-producer.
Snider really likes staying in touch with his followers and fans on Twitter, and he tries to answer their questions as much as he can. In one of his recent tweets, Dee Snider revealed his admiration for Iron Maiden’s Bruce Dickinson after they were nominated for the Best Vocalist of 2021 by Metal Injection. Snider defined Dickinson as one of the greatest vocals and stated that he is proud to be on the same list with him.
After he praised Dickinson, a user said that it looks like Snider is a fan of Iron Maiden. Then, Dee exclaimed that he has loved Iron Maiden since he first listened to their ‘Killers’ album. After his answer, the same user asked Snider about his favorite Iron Maiden song. The rocker revealed that his favorite Iron Maiden song is ‘Flight of Icarus,’ which is a song from the band’s 1983 album, ‘Piece of Mind.’
A user on Twitter asked Dee Snider:
“Yes yes, Dee I must ask them then what’s your favorite Maiden song!”
“‘Flight of Icarus'”
