Twisted Sister’s iconic frontman Dee Snider posted a tweet about Ted Nugent‘s famous song ‘Just What the Doctor Ordered’ after listening to it years later and praised the impressing work of Nugent’s former vocalist and guitarist Derek St. Holmes.
Rock music veteran Ted Nugent left The Amboy Dukes in 1974 and decided to form a new band with a new vision. Nugent was joined by Rob Grange, Cliff Davies, and Derek St. Holmes.
Ted Nugent Band released their debut studio album named ‘Ted Nugent’ in September 1975. Nugent’s song, ‘Just What the Doctor Ordered,’ released within the Ted Nugent album, and Derek St. Holmes received the appreciation of fans for his impressing vocal abilities.
Recently on Twitter, Twisted Sister legend and an old friend of Ted Nugent, Dee Snider posted a tweet about Ted’s ‘Just What the Doctor Ordered.’ In his tweet, Dee stated he listened to the song for the first time after so many years and he was impressed by the vocals Derek St. Holmes performed.
Here’s how Dee Snider reacted to Ted Nugent’s song:
“Holy Crap! Just heard Ted Nugent ‘Just What the Doctor Ordered’ for the first time in years! What an amazing vocal from Derek St. Holmes!”
As you might remember, Dee Snider previously revealed he and Ted Nugent were friends in the past, however, they hadn’t spoken to each other for a long time now. Snider also claimed the reason why they lost touch with each other was actually about Ted being out of control on expressing his political views.
Here’s what Dee previously stated about his relationship with Ted Nugent:
“We are/were friends, but I haven’t spoken to him since he went totally off the deep end.“
