Twisted Sister frontman Dee Snider recently had a conversation with Metal Hammer and talked about the old feud between them and Manowar.

The feud started between these bands when Manowar guitarist Ross ‘The Boss’ Friedman told the UK Press that Dee Snider’s band is a joke and they will end up playing at wet T-shirt competitions and dollar beer nights.

Dee recalled when Manowar and Twisted Sister weren’t getting along and revealed that he invited Manowar to have fisticuffs because he wanted to punch them. However, Manowar didn’t show up because they knew he wasn’t joking. Afterward, Dee pointed out that there is no bad blood between Twisted Sister and Manowar right now.

Even though Dee stated that they patched things up with Manowar, he said that this doesn’t mean he would do a Manowar cover and showed that he still hasn’t forgotten what happened in the past.

Dee Snider recalled the feud between Manowar and Twister Sister in the conversation:

“There was a time when I wanted to punch Manowar. We told them to meet us in Covent Garden, and we were gonna have fisticuffs. They didn’t show up because they knew I wasn’t kidding. I was in my 20s, I was crazy.

Would I do a Manowar cover? Probably not, even though we’ve patched things up and we’re not enemies, let’s not go crazy!”

Further in the conversation, Dee said that he had a completely different personality back in the ’80s and admitted that he was a real asshole in the past until he started to lose everything.
