The iconic frontman of Twisted Sister, Dee Snider has unveiled his personal favorite song from the band’s whole albums, as well as a little-known fact about all of their songs, while reacting to the tweet of his fan.
The legendary vocalist of the heavy metal band, Dee Snider, has been quite active on Twitter, responding to his fans’ questions and stating his opinions about the current political state of the US.
Most recently, he has said that he was listening to the Rainbow’s ‘Stargazer,’ which he called the greatest heavy metal song ever written, and realized four of six people responsible for that track have passed.
A loyal fan of Snider, whose name is Johnny, has responded to this tweet, in which the legend expressed his sorrows, by saying the greatest heavy metal song ever written is Twisted Sister’s ‘You Can’t Stop Rock ‘n’ Roll,’ on the contrary.
Dee Snider has answered to his kind comment by thanking his fan. He also said that it’s his favorite song, as well, while revealing he wrote all the songs in the history of Twisted Sister albums.
‘You Can’t Stop Rock ‘n’ Roll’ is the second studio album of the band, released on June 27, 1983. The songs ‘The Kids Are Back,’ ‘I Am (I’m Me),’ and the album’s title track were released as singles. The album was certified as a Gold Album by RIAA in November 1995, for selling over 500,000 copies in the USA.
Here’s what Dee Snider said in his recent tweet:
“Just listening to the GHMSEW, Rainbow’s ‘Stargazer’ (Greatest Heavy Metal Song Ever Written) & realized 4 of 6 people (including the producer) responsible for that track have passed. Sad. RIP Ronnie James Dio, Cozy Powell, Jimmy Bain, Martin Birch.”
The fan of him reacted by saying:
“That is not the best metal song ever… ‘You can’t Stop Rock and Roll‘ is the GHMSEW.. Just saying…. No Joke..”
Dee Snider responded as:
“Thanks Johnny. My personal favorite Twisted Sister song and I wrote them all.”
