Twisted Sister’s frontman Dee Snider recently posted some photos on both his Twitter and Instagram accounts and celebrated the anniversary of crossing paths with the person that changed his life forever and also helped him in all stages of his career, from his make-up and hair to designing his band’s logo.

Aside from a famous musician, Dee Snider is also known as a family man and devoted husband. Snider met the love of his life Suzette back in 1976 when she was 15 and he was 21 years old. The couple started dating soon after meeting each other and a year later, they started living together. Dee and Suzette got married in 1981 and they have three sons, one daughter, and quite a happy family life.

Soon after her relationship with Dee started, Suzette became a part of Twisted Sister. She designed their costumes, did their hair and make-up, and she’s the hero behind the band’s world-famous bone logo. With his recent posts, Dee Snider celebrated the day that he met the love of his life and proudly showed off their rock-solid marriage, the seeds of which were planted the moment they met each other 45 years ago.

In his posts, Dee Snider thanked his wife and life partner for helping him become who he is today. He described her as ‘the woman of my dreams’ that ‘changed my life forever.’ Snider went on to say that if he’s ever had any positive effect on the world, then Suzette should take all the credits as he couldn’t have done it without her. He finished his emotional messages by saying that he’s loved her for 45 years and that he’ll keep loving her forever.

Here’s what he said in his tweet:

“45 YEARS AGO… I met a girl who changed my life forever. If I’ve had any effect on the world, it is directly connected to her. Without her, I would have grown to be a different man. She did makeup, hair, wardrobe & the Twisted Sister bone logo! I love you, forever Suzette Snider!”

This is what he wrote in the caption of his Instagram post:

“45 years ago tonight I met the woman of my dreams… and held on for dear life! If I’ve had any positive effect on this world I owe it all to her. Suzette, I love you forever! [this was taken two weeks ago outside the CBS sound stage where we filmed Celebrity Family Feud].”
