The official and verified Instagram account of Def Leppard posted a couple of unseen photos of the original guitarist of the band Steve Clark, and the Leppard community celebrated the late star’s 61st birthday.

As you might already know, Steve was one of the original members of Def Leppard and played for the band for fourteen years. He was the primary songwriter and lead guitarist of the band until 1991. Unfortunately, Clark passed away from this world at the age of 30 from alcohol poisoning.

According to the caption of the post, the photos were taken by the most famous rock music scene photographer Ross Halfin. After sharing the photos, over 30K followers of Def Leppard pushed the like button to celebrate Clark’s birthday, including Megadeth bassist David Ellefson.

Here is what’s written in the caption:

“On this day in 1960, April 23, original Leppard guitarist Steve Clark was born. Gone but not forgotten, Steve would have celebrated his 61st birthday today.

In celebration of Steve’s life and legacy, head to the Leppard Vault to explore brand new Steve photographs – some never seen before.”
