The iconic guitarist of Def Leppard, Vivian Campbell was recently interviewed by Planet Rock this week and revealed if they can match the expectations from the upcoming tour of Def Leppard with Mötley Crüe.

Def Leppard star honestly admitted that he and his friends knew the return of the Mötley Crüe many months ago.

Here is what Vivian Campbell told:

“We knew a few months ago. Obviously, we were trying to keep a lid on it. But somebody let the cat out of the bag. [Laughs] Yeah, it’s gonna be a really good tour. And we’re excited about it. We just announced it in L.A. a couple of days ago.

But, yeah, it’s gonna be a big tour. We’re doing stadiums — 22 stadium shows in North America — with Mötley, Leppard, Poison and Joan Jett. Sort of like a mini-festival.”

Earlier last month, Def Leppard’s Joe Elliott had an interview with Rolling Stone and revealed the conversation between him and Nikki Sixx.

Here is what he said earlier:

“I told Nikki Sixx that when he signed it, ‘You guys are just Bowie, Sinatra, Cher, all rolled into one.’ It’s theater. And those guys are theatrical.

Contracts are there to be torn up. That’s what they are. People break them all the time in sports. Why can’t you break one in music?”
