Dire Straits guitarist Mark Knopfler wanted to take attention to one of the biggest health problems of men by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account and encouraged the fans.
Testicular cancer is one of the most dangerous cancer types for men because most of them hesitate to have it checked. In 2015, around 686K people affected by this disease and around 9K patients died because of it.
Recently, Dire Straits’ Mark Knopfler wanted to take this subject in the spotlight and joined the fundraiser that Cahonas Scotland arranged, Loosen Up Auction. In the auction, Mark will be selling his red tie, which you can bid on until November 29th.
In this way, Mark will raise the awareness of testicular cancer and encourage his fans to have the confidence to see a doctor if they have any signs of the disease. With his participation in the auction, Knopfler also proved what a humble person he is.
Here is what Mark Knopfler captioned:
“Mark has signed a red tie for Cahonas Scotland’s `Loosen Up Auction’ fundraiser. They are Scotland’s Testicular Cancer charity educating, creating awareness, eradicating stigma, and empowering men to have the confidence to see a doctor if they notice any changes.
Visit Cahonas Scotland for more info + self-check guide. Sid on Mark’s tie until 29/11.”
