The lead guitarist, singer, songwriter of the Dire Straits, Mark Knopfler shared a post on his official Instagram page announcing a limited edition vinyl for the ‘Metroland‘s full movie soundtrack which consists of 7 of Knopfler’s and one Dire Straits’ song among others.

Metroland which was released on March 23, 1999, is the seventh soundtrack album by Mark Knopfler and it contains 14 songs composed for the 1997 comedy-drama movie titled ‘Metroland.’ The album generally generated positive reviews, and The New York Times noted that it was one of the movie’s strongest assets.

The tracks were specifically composed and recorded for the film by Knopfler thus effectively helped to create the mood swings and stress the distinct personalities of the principal characters by all soundtracks changing the atmosphere in the movie.
