Mark Knopfler, the co-founder and legendary frontman of the British rock band Dire Straits, has disclosed how he creates some of his most successful and inspiring songs citing an interview he gave to the U Discover Music in 2015.

The Instagram team of Mark Knopfler, who is one of the geniuses in the rock genre and a veteran guitarist, has reminded his fans a statement of him, opening up about the creation process of his great songs.

During a conversation with the journalist and broadcaster Paul Sexton about the ‘Tracker Tour’ in 2015, Knopfler explained that the ideas can come from anywhere to him when writing a song, but then he wants to distill them into something really simple, into three chords, and hopefully the truth.

The ‘Tracker Tour‘ was a 2015 concert tour by Mark Knopfler, promoting the release of his eighth solo studio album, ‘Tracker.’ The tour started on 15 May 2015 in Dublin, Ireland, included 86 concerts in two legs, and ended on 31 October 2015 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the United States.

Here is what was said in the latest post of Mark Knopfler on Instagram:
