Dream Theater recently posted a video on their Twitter account and showed their support for Liquid Tension Experiment’s third studio album which was released on April 16, 2021, and advised their fans to give it a go.
As you may recall, Mike Portnoy formed the rock supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment in 1997, and it currently consists of himself, John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, and Tony Levin. The fact that three of these members are known for their tenure with Dream Theatre often led to rumors that the rest of DT feels uncomfortable with their band members’ involvement in LTE.
Nonetheless, in late 2020, LTE had announced that they’ve started working on their new album ‘Liquid Tension Experiment 3,’ after a 22-year-long break. The band’s new album was released just yesterday, April 16, and one of the first icons to promote the band’s new album was Dream Theater. With their recent tweet, Dream Theater showed their support for Liquid Tension Experiment’s new album and advised their followers to check it out.
Here’s what Dream Theater said in their recent tweet:
“Check out the brand new album LTE3 by Liquid Tension Experiment, comprised of John Petrucci, Jordan Rudess, Mike Portnoy, and Tony Levin.
You can buy or stream it here.”
