The late Van Halen guitarist Eddie Van Halen‘s performance also took place in this year’s video of ‘Year In Search’ released by Google on their official Youtube channel which summed 2020 within only three minutes.
As you may know, Google annually shares a video consisted of the questions people asked the most via using their search engine that year, in addition to the influential and groundbreaking events which took place within a year.
For this year’s video, it wasn’t hard to guess the concept since the COVID-19 pandemic had the biggest influence over the world in 2020. Google revealed that the question people searched the most during the course of 2020 was ‘why.’
In addition to this, Google showed the devastating incidents by adding special footage of those who passed away this year due to pandemic. Also, the video displayed several influential people, such as NBA icon Kobe Bryant and his 14-year-old daughter Gianna Bryant who passed away after a helicopter crash, as well as Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman who died due to colon cancer.
The fire that burned the biggest lungs of the world in Australia along with protesting videos for the ‘Black Lives Matter’ also took place in Google’s video.
In this special 2020 summary, Van Halen’s co-founder and renowned guitarist Eddie Van Halen, who passed away two months ago due to throat cancer, took part with the footage of one of his iconic performances. With Eddie’s video shown towards the end, Google didn’t forget to pay tribute to the guitar legend who influenced many people with his music and personality over the course of many years.
