What really happened within the very last hours before the guitar legend Eddie Van Halen‘s death was revealed by his doctors along with the devastating details of the cause of his death.

As you may know, Van Halen’s co-founder and the legendary lead guitarist Eddie Van Halen sadly passed away on October 6, 2020, after a long and vicious battle with throat cancer. His son Wolfgang Van Halen gave the heartbreaking news of his father’s death with a statement he posted on social media.

However, this wasn’t the first time Eddie had to struggle with cancer in his life. Back in 2000, Van Halen was diagnosed with tongue cancer and underwent various treatments including a surgery that removed a third of his tongue. Eddie was declared cancer-free in 2002.

Unfortunately, the iconic guitarist was hospitalized in 2019 after battling throat cancer over the previous five years. It was also revealed that Eddie was traveling to Germany as a part of his cancer treatment.

According to the recent news of TMZ, Eddie’s doctors revealed that his condition got worse within the last 72 hours. Apparently, the doctors found out that Eddie’s lung cancer had moved to his brain and other organs.
