The wife of Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder, Jill Vedder has announced the 29th anniversary of the iconic Pearl Jam album, ‘Ten,’ as she supported the celebration project of the Brazilian rock band, Black Circle, of the album.
The vice-chairman and Global Citizen ambassador Jill Vedder has taken Instagram to both celebrate a special date in the history of Pearl Jam and to express her admiration for her favorite tribute band‘s latest works.
Since this year marked the 29th anniversary of Pearl Jam album ‘Ten‘s release, Rio de Janeiro-based band, Black Circle, has put a great celebration performance of the album. Admiring the band’s talent, Jill Vedder has shown her support to their honoring show, as well as their new record ‘Mercury.’
In addition to her post, in which she promoted Black Circle’s tribute to Pearl Jam, Jill shared the cover photo of their new music by saying she would suggest picking up ‘Mercury’ which is available for pre-sale now. Jill also said that Eddie and she are super proud of their Brazilian brothers.
‘Ten,’ which has stepped its 29th year, is the debut studio album by Pearl Jam, released on August 27, 1991, through Epic Records. Though a grunge record, the album’s musical style is influenced by classic rock and combines an expansive harmonic vocabulary with an anthemic sound.
While it deals with the dark subject matter, it has generally been seen as a landmark of the early 1990s alternative rock sound, with Vedder‘s unusually deep and strong voice alternating between solidity and vibrato against the unrestrained, guitar-heavy sound that drew influence from rock bands of the 1970s.
Here is what Jill Vedder said in her post to support Black Circle’s tribute performance:
“My favorite Pearl Jam tribute band is at it again honoring the 29th anniversary of ‘Ten’.. Check it out.. It’s on now.. Link in my bio 🖤🤘🏼🖤”
She also supported the band’s new record, ‘Mercury,’ and said in another post:
“And because we love these guys so much.. as musicians and just great f*%@ing humans.. I would suggest picking up their new record ‘Mercury‘ which is available for pre sale now at the link in my bio 🖤
The music is incredible and we are super proud of our Brazilian brothers 🖤🤘🏼🖤🤘🏼🖤”
