One of the most astonishing music phenomenons, Elton John posted a tragic photo on his verified Instagram page today and revealed his sadness after losing his long-time friend, Terry O’Neill.

He also penned a short and emotional letter to Terry and praised him with astonishing words.

“Terry O’Neill took the most iconic photographs of me throughout the years, completely capturing my moods.

He was brilliant, funny and I absolutely loved his company. A real character who has now passed on. RIP you wonderful man.
