One of the most talented musicians of the whole time, Sir Elton John, took to his official Instagram page today and recalled the final show of his final tour in Moscow.

As Elton John describes this day as the most memorable and happy days of his life, he also used Led Zeppelin star Jimmy Page’s iconic ‘#OnThisDay’ hashtag while writing his post.

This rare post got almost 110K likes in a short time, and one of the users who went to the like button was Chris Cornell’s daughter Toni Cornell.

Here is the caption of the post:

#OnThisDay in 1979, I played the final show of my tour of the Soviet Union, in Moscow. Being one of the first Western artists to tour the Soviet Union was an incredible experience – it was one of the most memorable and happy tours I had ever been on.

Working with Ray Cooper, with just the two of us on stage, was equally exhilarating and challenging, but that last show in Moscow was probably one of the best concerts I’ve ever given in my life. 🚀”

An Instagram user named blessedtaron made the most-liked comment:

“Really wish I could’ve gone to one of your concerts 🥺 Will forever love you Elton!💖”

A famous author Susannah Constantine wrote this:

“I fucking love you 💖
