During a recent conversation with SG Lewis on his ‘Rocket Hour’ show which aires on Apple Music, Elton John talked about the projects he’s been working on since the outbreak of COVID-19, and said that he hasn‘t been doing any ‘Elton stuff‘ but has been mostly collaborating with other musicians.
As you probably know, aside from his successful career as a musician, songwriter, composer, and singer, Elton John is also the host of his own show ‘Rocket Hour’ which aires on Apple Music. SG Lewis, the young singer-songwriter and recorder producer, was Elton’s latest guest and during their conversation, Elton dropped a huge bomb.
Elton John said that he hasn’t been doing any of his own stuff since the outbreak of the pandemic, but that he has rather enjoyed collaborating with bands. As it turns out, Elton has a couple of upcoming projects with both the alternative rock band Gorillaz and the legendary Metallica. He said that he’s been doing some ‘great stuff with other people’ and as he didn’t give any more details, it seems like we’ll have to wait and see.
Here’s what he said during his conversation with SG Lewis:
“I‘ve just done something with Metallica. During this lockdown period, I’ve been working with [the virtual band] Gorillaz and people like that. I haven’t been doing any Elton stuff, but I’ve been doing great stuff with other people.”
