The iconic British musician and one of the leading figures of the 20th and 21st centuries’ culture, Elton John has shown his support to the people of Lebanon through announcing the release of Charming Liars‘ new single with the proceeds going towards rebuilding Beirut.
As you know, a massive explosion ripped through central Beirut at the beginning of this month. Killing dozens of people and injuring thousands, the explosion nearly destroyed the city. After a traumatic week, lots of Beirut’s citizens flooded outside to clean, sweep and help begin the devastated city’s recovery.
As well as the people of Lebanon, many musicians and artists remarked the situation and wanted to help to the rebuilding of this beautiful city. The rock band Charming Liars released a single, ‘Circles‘, by which they plan to provide aid to the estimated 300k Lebanese that have been left homeless.
The legendary musician Elton John supported the recent project of the band and shared a post in which he expressed his feelings about the tragic case. John said that the devastating effects the explosion has had on the people of Lebanon are heart-breaking. He added that we may support a great cause by streaming or downloading the new song of Charming Liars.
