Eric Clapton took his official Instagram account to share a new post and announced the new dates for his upcoming shows.
Eric’s last show was in Royal Albert Hall back in 2019, and he hasn’t played in any live show for over two years. Earlier in May, the iconic guitarist announced his return to the scene with the European 2022 Summer tour.
As Eric announced his European 2022 Summer tour, most of the people showed their interest in these shows and lots of tickets were sold out. Therefore, he had to put other shows in some countries.
This time, Eric announced his return to the United States with a North American tour, which will start in Fall 2021. Also, Eric revealed that he won’t be adding new dates or locations for this tour.
Here is the official announcement from Eric Clapton:
“Eric Clapton announced today he will be hosting a series of concert dates across the U.S. in September 2021. Tickets for these shows will go on sale starting Friday, June 18th at 9am EST.
Eric Clapton’s band for these shows will include Doyle Bramhall II, Paul Carrack, Nathan East, Sonny Emory, Steve Gadd and Chris Stainton with Sharon White and Katie Kissoon on backing vocals. The show will feature Jimmie Vaughan as special guest.
The newly announced shows will be Clapton’s only North American dates for 2021 and will precede his European tour, which was recently rescheduled to Spring of 2022 due to ongoing COVID restrictions in Europe.”
