The iconic guitarist Eric Clapton‘s daughter Ruth Clapton-Bartlett posted the video of the late pop music icon Prince on Instagram and claimed her father actually has the best performance of ‘Purple Rain’ since Prince.

The legendary rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton has a daughter from his relationship with Yvonne Kelly. Ruth Clapton-Bartlett has been happily married to Dean Bartlett and the couple had two lovely sons. Eric’s 35-year-old daughter has been working on her personal blog for a while now.

As an active user of social media platforms, Ruth often mentions how much she missed spending time with her father and his family since they had to stay apart for a while due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Earlier in August, Ruth posted her photos via Instagram stories taken at her dad’s house. She revealed she hadn’t been seeing her dad since February as they had to follow the coronavirus measures.

Recently Ruth Clapton shared an old video of the late pop icon Prince performing his iconic song ‘Purple Rain‘ via Instagram stories. On the caption, Ruth claimed that her father was actually the best performer of this song after Prince. She stated Eric Clapton ‘slayed it’ and mentioned how much she missed hearing him performing ‘Purple Rain’ live. Ruth also wished these challenging days to be over so we could go back to a some kind of normal.

Here’s what Ruth Clapton-Bartlett asserted on the caption:

“The only person who I feel has done this song justice since Prince is my Dad and I’m not even sorry for saying that. He slays it and I can not wait COVID has done one so he can play live again as I miss watching him! One day people, things will get back to some kind of normality or fun!”
