The famous rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton has posted a new photo on his official Instagram page after almost 5 months and announced that they had to postpone/cancel most of his upcoming events that are meant to be made in 2021.

While some of the states in the United States have removed all the restrictions for live shows and gatherings, it’s not the same case for England right now. According to the recently made statement of the United Kingdom government, meeting indoors and outdoors with people outside the household or support bubble is still prohibited and even funerals are permitted with only a 20 person limit.

According to the official statement of both Clapton’s Instagram post and the announcement on his official website ‘Where’s Eric?’ the legendary guitarist’s upcoming performances for the Royal Albert Hall have been postponed. At the same time, his concerts scheduled for Saturday 15 and Tuesday 18 May have been canceled and fans who bought their tickets will get a refund.

Here is the official announcement of Eric Clapton:

“Due to continuing restrictions on public gatherings, Eric Clapton’s performances planned for the Royal Albert Hall in May 2021 will not take place as scheduled.

While it has been possible to transfer two of the shows to 2022, unfortunately, lack of available dates has forced the cancellation of the remaining two shows.”

He continued:

“The concert scheduled for Friday 14 May 2021 will now take place on Saturday 7 May 2022 – all bookings remain valid.

The concert scheduled for Monday 17 May 2021 will now take place on Sunday 8 May 2022 – all bookings remain valid.

The concerts scheduled for Saturday 15 & Tuesday 18 May 2021 have been canceled.

Ticket holders for all shows will be contacted by their point of purchase.”
