One of the best guitarists in the world, Eric Clapton, showed his support to singer Sir Van Morrison, who started a campaign to save the live music and revealed his opinion about the future of the live music shows.

Following the coronavirus pandemic, the music industry has been suffering due to the cancellations from the government for the safety of the people and the musicians, and the live shows are forbidden for over six months.

Because of this problem, Eric claimed that the live music industry will be dead if they don’t do anything about it and said that there are lots of musicians who support the campaign of Van Morrison.

Furthermore, Eric also stated that he is so sad because there are only a few gigs happening in the world due to the lockdown rules, and Eric mentioned that they need to figure something out to overcome this problem.

Here is what Eric Clapton said:

“It is deeply upsetting to see how few gigs are going ahead because of the lockdown restrictions.

There are many of us who support Van and his endeavors to save live music, he is an inspiration. We must stand up and be counted because we need to find a way out of this mess.

The alternative is not worth thinking about. Live music might never recover.”
