The daughter of the British rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton, Ruth Clapton has clarified whether she feels pressure on what she does due to the global success of her father and explained the reason why she doesn’t play guitar.
The beautiful singer and blogger, Ruth Clapton, has taken Instagram Stories to make a quick Q&A session, giving an update on her Christmas plans, revealing what she’s been listening to lately, and how she feels about being the daughter of one of the most influential guitarists of all time.
As always, Ruth didn’t complete her session without answering a question about one and only Eric Clapton. One of her followers asked if she feels pressure on what she does because of her surname. From the bottom of her heart, Ruth said that she definitely is under pressure.
Moreover, she admitted that it’s half of the reason why she doesn’t play guitar. As you might recall, a few months ago, Ruth disclosed that she has started writing lyrics and singing again for the first time in 15 years. Though Ruth Clapton has taken a step further in her musical career during the self-quarantine, it appears that she doesn’t feel fully ready yet.
Here’s what was asked to Ruth:
“Do you feel pressure on what you do because of your surname? (Love the hair btw 😍)”
Ruth responded as:
“Yes. Definitely. That’s half the reason why I don’t play guitar.”
She also thanked her follower’s compliment for her new hairstyle by stating:
“And thanks, I’m getting used to it!“
