Iconic rock and blues guitarist Eric Clapton‘s daughter Ruth announced her participation in a charity event organized by her father’s foundation to show support for substance addicts and amazed fans with her voice during her performance of Bonnie Raitt’s song, ‘Nick of Time.’

Eric Clapton’s 35-year-old daughter Ruth has been working on her personal blog where she often writes about the insights of her life as a working mother. She also often takes her social media accounts to share personal opinions on various subjects, including the ongoing challenges we all faced due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Recently on Instagram, Ruth Clapton announced her participation in the latest project of Turn Up For Recovery Foundation which was founded by Eric Clapton and his wife, Melia Clapton. The foundation aims to raise awareness of addiction by using the power of music. They organize fundraising events around the world to talk about abstinence-based recovery and raise funds.

According to Ruth’s latest Instagram post, the young musician/writer joined a charity event called ‘Artist Showcase’ organized by her father’s foundation. Ruth sang the song titled ‘Nick of Time‘ by American blues musician Bonnie Raitt and the video of her performance is now available on the Turn Up For Recovery Youtube channel.

Here’s how Ruth Clapton announced her latest performance:

“So excited and grateful to be a part of this, please tune in if you can! This is a big deal for me, I’ve not stepped into singing or music for a very long time and I’m nervous but mostly excited!”
