Evanescence frontwoman Amy Lee shared her experience of touring with Lzzy Hale and Halestorm in an interview with Chaoszine she joined recently.
Evanescence focused on writing for a new album during the restrictions of the pandemic. The band released the fifth studio album named ‘The Bitter Truth‘ on March 26, 2021, and gained massive success by becoming number one on the Billboard Hard Rock.
Later on, Evanescence announced the World Collide tour to promote the album. However, they had to postpone the schedules because of the ongoing pandemic. Instead, the band made its fans happy with a live stream concert with Alice Cooper. Evanescence also declared on the same day that they would hit the road with Halestorm in November 2021.
Recently, Amy Lee talked about her experience of touring with Halestorm and Lzzy Hale. Lee stated that they performed a fantastic show because they were friends with the band and Hale. According to her, it was crucial whom they were touring with as they were spending most of their time together. Lee explained that they immensely enjoyed performing and having fun off-stage with Halestorm and Lzzy Hale as they were all friends.
Amy Lee explained in her words:
“We’re friends with Halestorm, long-time friends. Lzzy and I are close friends. It just felt really good to be going back out with people that we love to be with because, for all of us, we’re professionals, and the main focus is on making an incredible show. There’s a lot of work and thought that goes into that. But the other part of it is who you’re spending time with and what you get to do for the other 22 and a half hours of the day.
So, getting to be with each other, especially when we are in a place of total lockdown like no guest list, nobody backstage, no VIP, just total isolation from everything but us. We’re friends with our crew; we’re friends with Halestorm and their crew. We get to see each other a bit and then play our show and do our job and collaborate on stage and at the end of the night, listen to music together and have a few drinks and have it feel like normal again in a really the first way it had in so long, so, it was an extremely positive experience.”
