Dream Theater’s former drummer, Mike Portnoy, recently posted a photo on his Instagram account expressed the gratitude and happiness that he felt during the inauguration of President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris and said that he feels very optimistic.
Mike Portnoy is well-known for his successful career as the drummer of Dream Theatre, and for his work in numerous side projects and tribute bands. Furthermore, he’s the founder of the supergroup Liquid Tension Experiment. However, Portnoy is also famous for his humbleness, kindness, towards his friends and fans, and his sensitivity towards social issues.
In his recent Instagram post, which was a photo of Joe Biden and Kamala Harris hugging, he penned an emotional letter and congratulated them both for their success. He expressed his excitement for this new journey that the United States has embarked and said that every aspect of the inauguration day was wonderful and that he ‘shed many tears of joy.’
Finally, Mike Portnoy said that the inauguration day made him feel optimistic and filled his heart with hope, something that he hadn’t felt in the past years. He thanked both Joe Biden and Kamila Harris for bringing a smile on his face and hope in his heart and wished them both the best.
