Former Dream Theater drummer, Mike Portnoy, has shared a recent photo of Cynic’s drummer, Sean Reinert, via his verified and official Instagram account.
Sean Reinert, who worked for Cynic and Death, has died at the age of 48. According to recent reports, Reinert was found unresponsive at his San Bernardino home on Friday, Jan. 24.
There’s no official announcement about the cause of death. And everyone has started to wonder why he passed away at such an early age.
Sons of Apollo drummer, Mike Portnoy, has shared an Instagram post after the tragic death of Sean Reinert and wrote an emotional letter behind him. Also, he has told some special stories of themself.
Here’s what Mike Portnoy said:
“Absolutely shocked to hear of the passing of Sean Reinert. I watched him play every single night when Cynic supported DT in 2009 and was always in complete awe.
He was an outstanding drummer and a really nice guy. Way too young to leave us…RIP my friend 😞 #seanreinert @cynic_official.”
