Mike Portnoy, who is the former drummer of Dream Theater and current member of Sons Of Apollo, shared his opinion about ‘Roger Waters Us + Them’ via his Instagram account.

As you might already know, Mike has been sharing his thoughts and feelings about the legendary albums and movies on social media recently, and he has been interacting with his fans in this way.

Yesterday, he rewatched Roger Waters Us + Them and his first impression was getting blown away by this recording. Furthermore, Mike mentioned how much he liked the setlist of Waters.

While Mike was saying that the show has so many great musical moments, he also wanted to praise the talent of Roger by saying that he will always be one of his biggest musical heroes.

Here is what Mike Portnoy said:

“Finally got around to watching the Roger Waters Us + Them Blu-ray… And blown away as always. As far as I’m concerned, he is The Grand Architect of Conceptual Rock and always delivers the Absolute Ultimate live show and production… And what a setlist!

The Dogs & Pigs portion of the show was glorious (can’t wait to finally get the Animals reissue this year) and so many great musical moments too… From the harmonized duet vocals in The Great Gig in the Sky to the unison guitar solo in Money…

For me, there’s no doubt which one’s Pink and Roger Waters will always be one of my biggest musical heroes.”
