Jason Newsted, the former bass guitarist of Metallica, has stunned the fans by buying a new house on Skaneateles Lake in the village of Skaneateles, New York for $6.1 million according to the Syracuse.
The latest news of the source has highly surprised the fans of the heavy metal band, Metallica. The website has put forth a claim that Newsted and his wife Nicole displayed their wealth through their new property, which will be used by them as a summer residence, since they’re the longtime residents of Jupiter, Florida.
It was added that the ex-bassist sold his Walnut Creek, California house for $2.3 million last November, after putting up his Sula, Montana ranch for sale at $4.95 million in 2017.
Jason Curtis Newsted is best known for being the bassist of Metallica from October 1986 until January 2001. Before Metallica, he was a member of Flotsam and Jetsam. After that, he has been involved with Echobrain, Ozzy Osbourne, Voivod, and led the band Newsted from 2012 to 2014.
With Voivod, he used the pseudonym Jasonic, which is also the name of his music publishing company. He is also the founder of the Chophouse Records studio and label based in California.
