Two days ago, internet and social media exploded over the possibility of a Van Halen reunion.

Famous rock journalist Eddie Trunk has claimed that Van Halen will reunite with the lineup of David Lee Roth, Michael Anthony, Eddie Van Halen and Alex Van Halen.

During the recent interview with iHeartRadio, former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony talked about the reunion rumors and said:

“The only comment I have is that I haven’t spoken to any of the guys since we last played together back in 2004.”

Two weeks ago, speaking to Vulture, David Lee Roth hinted at the first live show of Van Halen’s reunion tour. He said:

“I’ll make sure we get you all tickets so you can see what we do for gainful employment. My mom still wonders. We don’t think about the price. Because, you know, next time my rock band will be playing the same place that the Yankees play. Okay?”

Interviewer said: “Are you telling me that Van Halen will play Yankee Stadium next summer? You promised four New York copy editors free tickets today”. Roth responded:

Yeah, but I can’t … If I say something on tape here and everybody goes, ‘Oh, this leaked…’ But, the band will be – I can’t say.”

In addition, Sons of Apollo drummer Mike Portnoy reacted to Van Halen reunion rumors and made a very special request on Twitter. He said:

“IF this is true….PLEASE take Sons Of Apollo as support!! We would be beyond honored!! Pretty much THE #1 band we’d want to open for!”
