Exodus and Slayer guitarist Gary Holt shared some information about his alcohol-free life by sharing a new post on his official Instagram account.

Some months ago, Holt had announced his elbow injury. As his condition was not severe, he started physical therapy, which helped him as he recently picked up his guitar and started playing once again. In June, Gary revealed that he has decided to quit alcohol which became his remedy following the pandemic outbreak and his injury.

Some hours ago, Gary announced that it marked the second month of his alcohol-free lifestyle and celebrated this huge milestone with his followers. As Gary said, he is feeling great and more focused than ever.

Afterward, the iconic guitarist revealed that he has started using marijuana and noted that he built up a new fondness for it. Gary mentioned that he found cannabis more relaxing after quitting alcohol, which is probably the main reason why he started smoking.

Gary Holt celebrated his second month of quitting alcohol:

“First milestone hit! Feeling amazing, and more focused than ever! And I have recently redeveloped a small fondness for cannabis! Much better relaxation!”
