Glam metal band, Extreme’s lead guitarist Nuno Bettencourt spoke in an interview with Trunk Nation and described his experience of working with popstar Rihanna.
He said that ‘it was an amazing time. She’s super-talented, she’s always super-sweet”.
Here’s the entire statement:
“I did four tours with her. I didn’t do the last one because I needed to get back to Extreme, I needed to get back to rock ‘n’ roll. But it was an amazing time. She’s super-talented, she’s always super-sweet. I learned a lot from playing all the R’n’B stuff, all the club, reggae stuff.
I had to put on all these different hats and all this great music I played with her – I learned so much and I brought it with me into what I’m doing now. But I think that part of it is – I’d never say over for me, but like I said, I’m excited about getting back with Extreme.
I still stay in touch with the manager, Jay Brown, lovely guy. I did a lot of cool things with her. I would have never met Paul McCartney. We were in a rehearsal space for three days, talking about everything from Lennon to playing songs with him.
It’s the experiences I would never have had without performing with Rihanna, so I’m very thankful.”
