Foo Fighters founder Dave Grohl recently posted a photo on his newly opened Instagram account dedicated to his upcoming memoir, with which he announced that he will soon be publishing his first autobiography which he described as ‘a collection of memories.’
As you know, Dave Grohl achieved mainstream fame when he became a member of Nirvana in 1990. He went on to found Foo Fighters in 1994, upon the passing of Kurt Cobain, which is now one of the most famous bands, and they have won 10 Grammy Awards and 5 Brit Awards.
However, as it turns out, being a musician is not Grohl’s only talent. On March 30, Grohl started writing down and posting some of his most remarkable memories from his career in the rock world – including getting to jam with Prince and meet with David Bowie – on his personal blog.
He also opened an Instagram account named ‘Dave’s True Stories’ in which he shares excerpts from his upcoming book ‘Dave Grohl The Storyteller.’ With his recent post, he gave some details considering the book which will be released on October 5, and summarized it as ‘a collection of memories of a life lived loud.’
Here’s how Dave Grohl describes his book:
“A collection of memories of a life lived loud. From my early days growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, to hitting the road at the age of 18, and all the music that followed, I can now share these adventures with the world, as seen and heard from behind the microphone. Turn it up!”
