Foo Fighters recently posted a photo on their official Instagram account and announced that they have received a nomination by the Brit Awards and said that their band wouldn’t have come so far in their career ‘if it weren’t for the United Kingdom.’
As you know, the band released their tenth album ‘Medicine at Midnight‘ at the beginning of February and it seems like it was highly appreciated by their British fans. The band has already won ten Grammy Awards and five Brit Awards. In fact, three out of the five Brit Awards were given to the band for ‘Best International Group.’
Just some hours ago, it was announced that the Foo Fighters were nominated for ‘Best International Group‘ once again, this time alongside BTS, Fontaines D.C., Haim, and Run The Jewels. Foo Fighters shared this great news on their Instagram account and thanked their fans in the United Kingdom for their love, support, and devotion.
In the caption of their post, the band said that they’ve said this a thousand times before but it seems like they should repeat it once more; ‘we wouldn’t be the band that we are today if it weren’t for the UK.’ They went on to say that the United Kingdom has always felt like their ‘second home‘ and finished their message by saying that they ‘can’t wait to put the international back’ into Foo Fighters as they haven’t gotten that award since 2018.
Here’s what Foo Fighters said in the caption of their post:
“If I’ve said it once, I’ve said it a thousand times… we wouldn’t be the band that we are today if it weren’t for the UK. You’ve always been our second home, so it’s a great honor to be nominated for Best International Group this year. Can’t wait to put the ‘international’ back into our group!
Thank you BRITs!”
