One of the dearest friends and the personal assistance of the iconic musician Freddie Mercury, Peter Freestone has talked about the lifestyle of Mercury and his way of relaxing after the intense shows.

Within a rare interview, Freestone has explained some of the lesser-known facts about Freddie Mercury. Peter Freestone, who remained with Freddie until his death in 1991, traveling with him around the world, revealed some details about his fast and grandiose life.

Famous with his parties at home and amazing stage performances, Freddie Mercury was wondered about the issue which is, how he managed and led his never-ending energy throughout his whole life. Closer than everyone else to him, Freestone was asked how Freddie was relaxing after the concerts.

Peter Freestone said that Freddie Mercury, as an artist who ended the performance with the adrenalin is running through the body, could not sit quietly. He preferred to come down by going out on the town with a group of friends until the early hours.

Here is what Peter Freestone said about Mercury’s way of relaxing:

“Like just about any artist who performs on stage, at the end the adrenalin is running through the body, so it is almost impossible to sit quietly.

For Freddie, his way of coming down after a show was to go out on the town with a group of friends until the early hours. This gave the chance for the adrenalin to dissipate.”

Freddie with the cast of “Blues in the Night” and with his friend Peter Straker at Freddie’s house, Garden Lodge in London, 1988❤.⠀ ⠀ ➡ Where’s Peter’s hand?😏 I love how goofy Freddie and his friends were, goofy and funny friendships are always the best ones!🥰⠀ —⠀ 🖇 Some questions answered by Peter Freestone:⠀ ⠀ 👉 What music did Freddie had on the jukebox seen in the last video interview with him?⠀ 💬 There actually weren’t too many records inserted, but I do remember he had some Elvis Presley and a few of the old rock and roll 45s in there.⠀ ⠀ 👉 Did Freddie ever ride a bike?⠀ 💬 In the twelve years I was working for Freddie, I never saw Freddie ride a bike. That is not to say he couldn’t. Bicycle race came about when he saw riders from the Tour de France pass his hotel window.⠀ ⠀ 👉 What was Freddie’s cats names?⠀ 💬 The originals that I know of were Tom and Jerry who were around when Freddie was living with Mary. When he moved to Stafford Terrace he had Oscar and then Tiffany. They moved with him to Garden Lodge where they were joined over the years by Goliath, Delilah, Miko, Romeo and Lily. As he was in Munich for quite a while he also had a cat there called Dorothy.⠀ ⠀ 👉 Did Freddie ever communicate with me (Phoebe (Peter Freestone)) in a dream?⠀ 💬 I suppose like lots of people I have had many dreams where Freddie was present and involved in the dream. Sometimes they can be very vivid, but I don’t think I ever felt that Freddie was trying to tell me something. Many times the Freddie in the dream doesn’t say or do things the real Freddie did, but it is still Freddie all the same.⠀ ⠀ 👉 How did Freddie relax after a concert? 💬 Like just about any artist who performs on stage, at the end the adrenalin is running through the body, so it is almost impossible to sit quietly.
