A fan account dedicated to Freddie Mercury posted the photos of the Queen icon on Instagram and shared the details of his workout routine revealed by his personal assistant and close friend Peter Freestone.

The legendary frontman of Queen Freddie Mercury sadly passed away in 1991 at the age of 45. The cause of his death was later revealed as bronchial pneumonia resulting from AIDS. The fans and friends around the world were devastated by the news of his death.

Many social media accounts dedicated to Freddie Mercury have been continuing to share his photos and interviews to remember the iconic musician even many years after his death. One of the most popular fan pages of Freddie Mercury on Instagram named Freddie Mercury Club posted several photos of Mercury showing his toned body to share the details of his daily workout plan.

On the caption of the post, the fan account shared a quote from Freddie’s personal assistant and close friend Peter Freestone revealing the details of his workout routine. According to Freestone, even though he didn’t have any ‘specific workout schedule,’ Freddie was always fit due to his fast metabolism.

Additionally, Peter mentioned Freddie had been extremely active during the day and especially on stage. Freestone called Freddie Mercury’s every performance on stage ‘a two-hour workout.’

Here’s the quote from Peter Freestone shared by the fan page on Instagram:

“He had no fitness regime as such. He was the only person I have ever met who had two complete home gyms, one in New York and one in Los Angeles, who never used them.

Freddie had no specific workout schedule. He was one of those very lucky people whose body was naturally fit. He had a very fast metabolism, so he burned fat quickly. He was also very active and didn’t like spending time lying in bed or sitting on the sofa.

You’ve seen in video shots from shows that he did some running on the spot and small jumps before a show, which was really just to warm up his body for what would essentially be a 2-hour workout on the stage. If you think Queen toured the world each year, there were a lot of intense exercises.”
