One of social media’s biggest Freddie Mercury fan pages, Freddie Mercury Club, has exposed the video of the last public appearance of the legendary Queen icon on their Instagram page.

If you look at this post, 30 years ago, Queen members were at the Brit Awards on February 18, 1990, to receive the Outstanding Contribution to Music award.

In the video, first the guitarist Brian May gave a speech and then the other band members approach the microphone and thanked the crowd. Finally, Freddie Mercury picked up the microphone and left the stage by thanking and wishing good night.

Here’s what the fan page captioned:

“‘Thank you. Good night.’💥

✨Today marks Freddie’s last public appearance 30 years ago at Brit Awards on February 18th, 1990 when Queen received the award for Outstanding Contribution to Music… 🏆”

They continued:

“I don’t usually like to post photos and videos of this stage of Freddie’s life but I’m not gonna wear a sad face here because even though he wasn’t physically at a strong place his spirit was soaring and I’m happy that he could collect one last important award with his own living hands and feel proud that it was “all worth it”…👑

Even though Freddie’s looking frail he still walks with such pride and class and elegance…as if he’s mocking his illness with unbelievable courage and that’s why he never fails to inspire me 💪

And I love his childlike smile when he receives the award…he’s very happy and that’s all that counts ❤”

A fan named bruisedreed90 commented and said:

“What a beautiful post! 😍 I really love your Instagram site.”

Another fan named mrmercuryfahrenheit wrote:

“Perfect words ❤️”
