One of the most famous fan pages on the whole social media, @FreddieMercuryClub, shared yet another rare interview of Queen’s late frontman Freddie Mercury today.
The fan page revealed Freddie’s unknown thoughts about another legendary band, The Rolling Stones, and they exposed how he was amazed by The Stones’ having the 20th anniversary of the band in 1982.
The interview was made by Rudi Dolezal in Munich while Queen was on their Hot Space Tour.
Rudi Dolezal asked this:
“When you look at The Stones they have their 20th anniversary this year.”
Freddie Mercury responded:
“Good lord is it 20 years?! Good luck to them!“
Rudi asked again:
“So can you imagine to get to the same age with your band?“
Freddie expressed his thoughts:
“What 20 years?! 20 years. Hahaha… I wouldn’t know, I really wouldn’t. At this time I wouldn’t know. I think it’d be nice if people still buy our records and WE still feel.
The most important thing is for us to feel…you know I would HATE to just do it despite I mean just because we want to do it to sell records or just to make money.”

💥Freddie on Queen Continuing like The Stones💥 . Rudi Dolezal: When you look at The Stones they have their 20th anniversary this year. . Freddie: Good lord is it 20 years?! Good luck to them! . Rudi: So can you imagine to get to the same age with your band? . Freddie: What 20 years?! 20 years…(most adorable dramatic & sassy eyeroll EVER 😁 ) "Hahaha…" (I wanna die for this laugh…I also love how he leans back on his chair and rocks it like a little child in an amusement park 😍😄) "I wouldn't know, I really wouldn't. At this time I wouldn't know. I think it'd be nice if people still buy our records and WE still feel…the most important thing is for us to feel…you know I would HATE to just do it despite I mean just because we want to do it to sell records or just to make money. (Closeup of his gorgeous yet serious face because these are words of wisdom for future generations to study 👊) . "If we weren't interested I wouldn't do it. Because at the moment I'm interested in doing this. If I lose that interest I will go and do something else because I feel I CAN do it. I like trying out different things. But at the moment there is a lot within Queen that we all can do so one day I will say to myself, 'listen I've done enough with Queen', I will try and do something else. So I couldn't tell you whether that can happen tomorrow or in two years time or another ten years. But who knows? Lets, let's wait and see… . 👉P.S. So here's the answer to those who wonder if Freddie would be touring as Queen if he was here today. He rolls his eyes at the idea of himself as an old man doing the same thing over and over again. He injected freshness and originality into Queen until Queen's 20th (and final) anniversary but if he was here today he would never repeat the same old formula let alone cover his own songs year after year. He would contribute to music in more original and unpredictable ways any of us can think of. Because he knew he had the talent to create not to reiterate, to do something new and wonderful every time, to reinvent himself, to shock us entertain us & mesmerize us… why because he's Freddie f***ing Mercury 💪❤👑 . #FreddieMercury #wordsofwisdom
