One of the most famous fan pages on the whole social media, @FreddieMercuryClub, shared yet another rare interview of Queen’s late frontman Freddie Mercury today.
The fan page revealed Freddie’s unknown thoughts about another legendary band, The Rolling Stones, and they exposed how he was amazed by The Stones’ having the 20th anniversary of the band in 1982.
The interview was made by Rudi Dolezal in Munich while Queen was on their Hot Space Tour.
Rudi Dolezal asked this:
“When you look at The Stones they have their 20th anniversary this year.”
Freddie Mercury responded:
“Good lord is it 20 years?! Good luck to them!“
Rudi asked again:
“So can you imagine to get to the same age with your band?“
Freddie expressed his thoughts:
“What 20 years?! 20 years. Hahaha… I wouldn’t know, I really wouldn’t. At this time I wouldn’t know. I think it’d be nice if people still buy our records and WE still feel.
The most important thing is for us to feel…you know I would HATE to just do it despite I mean just because we want to do it to sell records or just to make money.”
