Gene Simmons Breaks Silence About The Question From A Fan After Almost 7 Years

Gene Simmons, the co-founder and bassist of KISS, has responded to his fan, who asked him why the producers of the American television sitcom, ‘Trophy Wife,’ acknowledge Gene in the credits of the show, nearly 7 years after.

The iconic singer and bass guitarist, Gene Simmons, has been quite active on Twitter, wishing a happy Thanksgiving to all of his fans and supporting the latest achievement of his multi-talented daughter, Sophie Simmons.

As you may recall, Simmons backed up Sophie, the gorgeous singer, poet, and model, following the announcement of her new poetry book called, ‘Secrets I Would Never Say, But I Would Sing,’ on Twitter a few days ago.

Most recently, the legend has surprised his followers by deciding to answer one of his fans who remarked on an interesting fact about Simmons on February 8, 2014. The fan asked Gene why he is acknowledged by ‘Trophy Wife’s producers in the caption of the screenshot from the show capturing that moment.

As surprising as the point which his fan indicated, Simmons’ recent act led his followers to get lost in amazement. Some of them wondered how did Gene find this tweet from 2014, and asked him right away, under his answer.

In his response to his fan from 2014, Gene Simmons revealed that ‘Trophy Wife’ was a TV show he was developing. He explained that he created and trademarked the name, then another show wanted to use the same name and he allowed them if they gave him credit.

‘Trophy Wife,’ which aired during the 2013–14 television season on ABC, was co-created and executive produced by Emily Halpern and Sarah Haskins for ABC Studios. The series revolved around Kate, a young, attractive and blonde party girl, who marries a middle-aged lawyer named Pete.

Here’s what the fan of Simmons asked him about the ‘Trophy Wife’ in 2014:

“Why do the producers of ‘Trophy Wife’ ‘acknowledge‘ you in the credits of their show?”

Gene Simmons responded as:

“‘Trophy Wife’ was a tv show I was developing. I created and trademarked the name. Then another show wanted to use the same name. I allowed them if they gave me credit.”
