KISS bassist Gene Simmons shared a post on his official Twitter page replying to a fan who stated that Fox News shares ‘faux’ news after Simmons’ tweet about the news channel debunking Donald Trump‘s misinforming statements on the election, which made Gene quite confused.

Gene Simmons shared an article published by Fox News on his Twitter account about Donald Trump and his accusations on the 2020 presidential election of the United States. As you may recall, Trump previously stated that the election was a fraud and he went from winning to losing.

Apparently, Fox News host Eric Shawn debunked election disinformation that President Donald Trump shared on the same network only hours earlier. During the news, Shawn stated that Trump cannot make his peace with someone whom he considers inferior to him.

Simmons shared the news on his Twitter account and stated that people should not share posts to complain to him about Trump or the election. Instead, Gene suggested them to engage the matter with Fox since they are the ones who made big allegations about the presidential election and Donald Trump.

Here is what Simmons said:

“Don’t complain to me. Take it up with Fox, please…Fox News Host Pulls Apart Election Lies Trump Spouted On Network Hours Earlier”

A fan shared a comment implying that Fox mostly shares ‘faux’ news replying to Simmons’ tweet. KISS fans also started to pour comments under his tweet stating that Fox News has lost its base viewers due to publishing fake news.

Here is what the fan said:

Faux News

Later on, Gene Simmons replied to that fan with another tweet expressing his confusion. KISS icon asked that fan whether he was referring to Fox News as ‘faux news’ since Simmons wanted to be clear with his fan’s statement.

Here is what Simmons said:

“Matt, you’re saying FOX… is ‘faux news?’ Just to be clear.”

The owner of the original tweet cleared the air with his comment:

“Yes Gene, it’s a phonetic joke.👍 Faux: 1 adj not genuine or real; being an imitation of the genuine article ” faux pearls” Synonyms: fake, false, imitation, simulated artificial, unreal contrived by art rather than nature.”
