Gene Simmons has revealed his thoughts on Joe Rogan’s claims about the United States’s move towards dictatorship through his Twitter account.
As you may already know, Joe Rogan is a comedian, television presenter, and podcaster. In 2009, he launched his ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast, which was an initial success and contributed to his increasing fame.
On a recent episode of his podcast, ‘The Joe Rogan Experience,’ Rogan commented on the vaccination requirement and the USA government’s measures on Covid-19. He said that requiring proof of vaccination to enter indoor public areas is a dumb decision.
Rogan then added the government does not understand human beings and their nature. Following that, he also criticized the idea of having vaccine passports and claimed this is a step towards dictatorship.
Rogan’s words in the podcast were:
“They don’t understand history. They don’t understand human beings and human nature. They don’t understand the history of every single country that’s ever existed other than the United States.
Up until 1776, every fucking country that has ever existed was run by dictators. All of them. This is the first one where you have elected officials. This is the first experiment in self-government that actually worked and it created the greatest superpower that the world has ever known. It created the greatest cultural machine, the greatest machine of art and creativity, and innovation, right fucking here.
And how did they do that? They did it through freedom. Because when you give people freedom, you let people do whatever the fuck they want to do, they actually find ways to succeed and grow and thrive.”
He went on to say:
“But as soon as you put the boots on them, as soon as you tell them, ‘You have to do this, or you can’t do that. You have to listen to me,’ now you have a mini dictator. You have one step away from a king. One step closer. You’re moving one step closer to dictatorship. That’s what the fuck is happening.
That’s what’s going to happen with the vaccine passport. That’s what’s going to happen if they close borders. ‘You can’t enter New York City unless you have your papers!’ ‘You can’t go here unless you have that!’ ‘You can’t get on a plane unless you do what I say!’
People say ‘Oh, it’s all about protecting people,’ but no, it’s not.“
One of Gene Simmons’ followers shared this part of Rogan’s podcast with the musician on Twitter. Upon seeing the video, Gene Simmons posted a tweet. In the tweet, he said that he likes Joe Rogan, but Rogan needs to stop at the red light, which is the law.
Simmons then said vaccination might not stop the increasing cases, but it will certainly decrease the number of deaths. Talking about human rights, he also pointed out that one does not have the freedom to infect others.
Gene Simmons’ tweet read:
“I like Joe Rogan. He’s a funny guy. But food for thought, you must stop at a red light. It’s the law. It won’t stop all accidents, but it’ll certainly cut down on deaths. Rights? It’s really simple: You don’t have the right and freedom to infect the rest of us.“
