Gene Simmons, the co-founder and bassist of KISS, has celebrated the success of the band on Spotify this year by sharing the ‘2020 Artist Wrapped’ list which shows that millions of people from 92 countries have listened to KISS for millions of hours this year.

Gene Simmons, who usually posts the daily news about the global pandemic of COVID-19 and interesting updates focusing on the global economy on Twitter, has recently turned his scope onto the highly-anticipated reports of Spotify, ‘Spotify Wrapped.’

The annual institution which gives people a look back at what they have listened to the whole year has reported that the New York City-based phenomenal band, KISS, got 307.4 million total spins, as well as 35.5 million total listeners located in 92 different countries.

Additionally, according to the report, people spent 17.2 million hours listening to the band. In the caption of his recent post displaying the undeniable success of KISS, the iconic bass guitarist said that he usually ignores this sort of thing, but this time he thought he’d share it with his followers.

Spotify Wrapped has revealed that the Canadian singer, The Weeknd, was the most-streamed artist of 2020 with his groundbreaking single, ‘Blinding Lights,’ which was streamed 1.6 billion times. The platform also stated that the ‘Joe Rogan Experience‘ was the most popular podcast of the year, followed by ‘TED Talks Daily’ and ‘New York Times The Daily.’
