KISS’ iconic bass guitarist Gene Simmons got emotional in the recent video he posted on his official Twitter account to bid the legendary musician Eddie Van Halen farewell.
As you may know, Van Halen’s co-founder and iconic guitarist Eddie Van Halen has passed away after a long battle with throat cancer. His son, Wolfgang announced the devastating death of his father with a statement on Twitter.
Here’s what Wolf stated in his message:
“I can’t believe I’m having to write this, but my father, Edward Lodewijk Van Halen, has lost his long and arduous battle with cancer this morning.
He was the best father I could ever ask for. Every moment I’ve shared with him on and off stage was a gift. My heart is broken and I don’t think I’ll ever fully recover from this loss. I love you so much, Pop.“
Following the news about Eddie’s death, many musicians and celebrities took their social media accounts to pay tribute to the guitar legend. KISS’ bassist Gene Simmons also posted a video on his Twitter account to share his feelings about the tragic loss.
In his video, Gene mentioned how heartbroken he was to learn that Eddie Van Halen passed away. Simmons claimed Eddie wasn’t merely a gutitar god but also a gentle soul.
