The official Instagram account of Green Day posted an update on their ‘Hella Mega Tour’ and gave the sad news of another cancelation in Australia and New Zealand.

The upcoming tour of Green Day, ‘Hella Mega Tour,’ was scheduled to begin in May 2020 and it also featured Fall Out Boy and Weezer. However, as a result of the global pandemic of coronavirus, the dates of the tour had to be rescheduled. Previously, Green Day announced that the nine shows in Asia were postponed followed by the other performances in Europe and North America.

Recently, the official Instagram account of Green Day shared the sad news of another cancelation in their tour dates. Apparently, due to the Covid-19 measures, the shows in Australia and New Zealand scheduled in November had to be canceled. Furthermore, the band immediately informed the ticket holders that they could receive their money back at the point of purchase.

Here’s how Green Day shared the upsetting news about their shows:

“Australia and New Zealand, we’re beyond bummed to announce that the upcoming Hella Mega dates in November have been canceled.

We kept trying to put this piece of the puzzle together, but unfortunately, it’s just not possible due to the uncertainty of the government Covid-19 travel restrictions, mass gatherings, and most importantly for the safety of our fans, crew, and staff.

Ticket refunds will be available at the point of purchase.

We love you all and we’ll be back rocking with you at some point.

Until then, stay safe.

Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer”
