Green Day recently posted a tweet on their Twitter account and excited their fans with their latest announcement considering the release of the 25th-anniversary edition of their iconic album ‘Insomniac‘ which will be available on Remastered Orange Vinyl LP and all streaming platforms on March 19.
As you may remember, in April 2020, Billie Joe Armstrong had revealed that he wants to record a new album with Green Day and he has composed six songs, but that the pandemic is preventing them from getting started. Since then fans have been excitedly waiting for the band’s new album but to this day, they only released two singles.
During the spring of 2020, Green Day released a cover of Blondie’s ‘Dreaming‘ and on February 21, 2021, they released a brand new song ‘Here Comes The Shock.’ It seems like the band cannot stop themselves now that they’ve started working together again as they recently announced that they’ll be releasing a remastered version of one of their most popular albums, ‘Insomniac.’
‘Insomniac’ is Green Day’s fourth studio album and it was released in 1995. It achieved great success and ranked Number 2 on the Billboard 200 chart, and was also certified 2x Platinum by RIAA. The 25th-anniversary edition of this iconic album will be available this Friday on all streaming platforms, and the band’s devoted fans can now pre-order the Remastered Orange Vinyl LP.
Here’s what Green Day said in their recent tweet:
“It’s almost here 😬 The 25th–anniversary edition of ‘Insomniac‘ will be available on Remastered Orange Vinyl LP + everywhere digitally this Friday! Pre–order here.”
