The official Instagram page of Green day recently shared a post stating revealing a statement by The Lincoln Project’ about The Network being the secret side-band of Green Day, which claims the two bands had nothing to do with each other.

As you may know, the allegations about The Network have been all over social media, and fans are divided into those who believe The Network has been a secret project of Green Day from the beginning, and those who think The Network is using Green Day for publicity.

The Lincoln Project is an American political action committee formed in late 2019 by a number of Republicans and former Republicans. The purpose of the project is to prevent the re-election of Donald Trump and defeat all Republicans in close races running for re-election in the United States Senate.

Recently, Green Day shared a statement by The Lincoln Project on their official Instagram page. The Lincoln Project claimed that The Network is not Green Day, however, this made fans even more confused since the platform has nothing to do with the music industry and the actual statement is nowhere to be found.

In addition to the latest statement posted on Instagram, Green Day also asked their fans about the possibility of Green Day being The Network and stated that The Lincoln Project debunked the incident for good.

Here is what Green Day said:

“We’ve noticed way too many conspiracies thrown around and thankfully The Lincoln Project has debunked things once and for all. Please ask yourself is there really any way that Green Day could actually be The Network?”

Moreover, the official Instagram page of Green Day shared the brand new album of The Network named ‘Money Money 2020 Part II’ along with The Lincoln Project’s statement which did not make things clear at all.
